For those who prefer to travel by plane, the nearest airports are Catania, Reggio Calabria and Palermo. From Catania you have to take a bus - there are also private ones - to Messina or, preferably, to Milazzo, which offers more services. Hydrofoils also depart from Naples from the end of June to mid-September. Private companies organise transfers by helicopter or barges, on request.
